Exciting Opportunities To Become A Discover Parks Ambassador Now Available
As spring and summer approach, exciting park programs are on the horizon! We're on the lookout for enthusiastic outdoor lovers to become Discover Parks Ambassadors. Ambassadors play a crucial role in building connection to our protected places, inspiring, and empowering people to appreciate, enjoy, and care for British Columbia's parks and protected places.
Ambassadors engage with park visitors, promoting nature appreciation, safe outdoor recreation, and responsible park use while fostering connections with nature, especially for those new to parks.
Last year Ambassadors had 164,822 interactions with visitors, 31,319 program participants and logged 6,966 iNaturalist biodiversity observations.
If you are someone passionate about nature, eager to educate others on its importance, and dedicated to ensuring park visitors have the best possible experience, becoming a Discover Parks Ambassador could be the opportunity you've been searching for!
We are currently seeking Ambassadors for the following areas:
• Squamish (Alice Lake, Shannon Falls, Porteau Cove)
• North/West Vancouver (Cypress, Seymour)
